SIST introduces itself

Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST) is the Slovenian national standards body responsible for preparing and adopting voluntary standardization documents, and representing the interests of Slovenia in the international (ISO in IEC) and European (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI) organizations for standardization, in which it holds full membership. SIST ensures equal involvement of all interested parties in standardization activities, thus enabling the co-development of European and international standardization.

SIST performs its activities pursuant to the annual work program adopted in agreement with the Founder by the SIST Assembly, and the financial plan adopted in agreement with the Founder by the SIST Council, in the public interest, with emphasis on professional independence, all by implementing the fundamental international and European principles of standardization, which are based on consensus, voluntarity, transparency and openness.
