International Classification for Standards, ICS, is a generally applicable classification for standards and other normative documents. Through ICS, information can be aligned with ordering tools such as catalogs, selection lists, bibliographies and databases on magnetic and optical media. As it provides detailed and uniform sorting of documents by areas, it also helps tackle the language barriers, since almost all standards catalogs at the national, regional and international levels are classified in this way. To facilitate the search of Slovenian Standards, SIST has prepared the Slovenian translation.
